Week 2 van de 30-dagen uitdaging: Stappen om je ruimte en geest op te ruimen

Week 2 of the 30-Day Challenge: Steps to Declutter Your Space and Mind

Welcome back to Week 2 of our 30-day challenge! Last week, we focused on kickstarting habits that bring clarity and calm to your life. This week, we’re diving even deeper into organizing your space, practicing self-care, and building mindful habits. Let’s jump into Days 8-14 and see what’s in store!

Day 8: Check the Expiration Date of Products

Take a good look at the items in your kitchen, fridge, and pantry today. Check the expiration dates and toss anything that’s past its prime. While you’re at it, don’t forget about your makeup drawer! Many beauty products have a shorter shelf life than you’d think, and using expired products can be harmful to your skin.

As you sort, reflect on whether it’s necessary to keep multiples of the same item. Do you really need three backup jars of pasta sauce or six half-used lipsticks? Clearing out expired items creates space and prevents waste. Bonus tip: make a note of the items you truly use so you can shop more intentionally in the future.

Day 9: Journal for 15 Minutes

Journaling is a simple yet powerful way to connect with yourself. Dedicate 15 minutes today to writing. Meagan, one of our team’s biggest advocates for journaling, swears by it as a self-care must.

Choose a time that works best for you:

  • In the morning: Reflect on your goals for the day, set intentions, or do a brain dump to start with a clear mind.

  • In the evening: Write about your experiences, emotions, or things you’re grateful for. This can help you de-stress and sleep better.

No rules, no pressure—just write and let your thoughts flow.

Day 10: Go Outside for a Day Without Makeup

We love a good makeup routine, but today, we’re keeping it natural. Treat your skin to a day of rest and sunlight. Start with a pampering session: exfoliate, apply a face mask, and finish with a nourishing cream. Then, step outside and soak up some vitamin D.

Did you know that just 15-30 minutes of sunlight can boost your vitamin D levels significantly? This challenge isn’t just about giving your skin a break; it’s also about embracing your natural beauty and feeling confident without makeup.

Day 11: Write Down the Things You Like About Yourself

Take a moment to appreciate yourself. Grab a pen and write down the qualities you love about yourself. For each trait, find an example that showcases it. For instance, if you’re proud of your kindness, think of a time when you helped someone in need.

Next, reflect on your life’s journey. What achievements are you proud of? Which decisions have moved your life in a positive direction? Celebrate your skills, your growth, and the unique person you’ve become. Remember, you’re your own biggest cheerleader!

Day 12: Spend Quality Time With Your Favorite People

When was the last time you truly connected with your loved ones without distractions? Today’s challenge is to plan quality time with your favorite people—without your phone. Suggest a dinner, a game night, or a creative activity where everyone puts their phones in a box.

Being fully present allows you to have meaningful conversations and build stronger connections. You don’t have to complete this challenge today, but make sure to schedule it soon. Your relationships will thank you.

Day 13: Practice Single Tasking

Multitasking may seem efficient, but it often reduces productivity and focus. Today, practice single-tasking: choose one task, set a timer for one hour, and give it your undivided attention.

Once the timer goes off, take a 15-minute break to recharge, then start again. This technique helps you stay focused and complete tasks more effectively. By the end of the day, you’ll likely feel more accomplished and less overwhelmed.

Day 14: Empty Your Car

Is your car looking more like a storage unit? It’s time to tackle the clutter! Remove everything that doesn’t belong, like clothes, bags, receipts, and random odds and ends. Sort through the items, vacuum the interior, and wipe down surfaces with a clean cloth. For an extra touch, spray a fresh scent to make your car feel brand new.

A clean, organized car isn’t just about appearances—it’s also about creating a more pleasant and stress-free environment for your travels.

That wraps up Week 2 of the challenge! By the end of this week, you’ll have decluttered more spaces, practiced mindfulness, and reconnected with the people and things that matter most. Keep going—you’re doing amazing! Stay tuned for Week 3, and let us know how the challenge is going for you in the comments.
